Group of Friends Celebrate “Mountain Climb” in Quezon City

A group of friends celebrated their hilarious “mountain climbing” experience at a footbridge in Quezon City they called Mt. Kamuning.

Mountain climbing is an outdoor activity where people hike or climb up mountains, usually for adventure, exercise, or the thrill of reaching the top. It can involve walking on trails, scrambling over rocks, or even using ropes and special gear for safety when climbing steep or dangerous parts.

Some climbs are easy and suitable for beginners, while others are very challenging and require training and experience. The goal is usually to reach the mountain’s summit and enjoy the journey along the way.

Recently, Albert Labrador, a Facebook user, shared their group proudly posing at the “summit” of what they jokingly called Mt. Kamuning. The post immediately spread like wildfire on social media and elicited comments from netizens.

The so-called Mt. Kamuning isn’t a real mountain, but the 30-foot-high footbridge located near the GMA Network building in Kamuning.

The group wore full mountain climbing outfits, as if they were truly going on a serious hike. They added a playful caption describing their “climb” as an anniversary celebration, saying they crossed from the west to east side and back without oxygen, guides, or porters. It was done in good fun.

Many netizens found it relatable, especially those who regularly cross that same overpass and jokingly call it a daily challenge.
