Sen. Bato dela Rosa Speaks on Plane that Brought Former Pres. Duterte to The Hague
BATO DELA ROSA – The Senator believes that it is the moral obligation of the Senate panel on Duterte arrest to submit the findings to United States President Donald Trump.
Countless people are confused over the relationship of the Marcos siblings now. Sen. Imee Marcos visibly has an opposing stand with her brother, Pres. Bongbong Marcos, on the issue of the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. The former Chief Executive was arrested last March 11 and is now detained in The Hague.

Sen. Imee Marcos led a Senate panel investigation on the arrest of Duterte. It has conducted two (2) hearings already but the cabinet officials refused to attend the recent inquiry after Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin said that all matters not covered by the executive privilege have already been discussed on the first day.
Sen. Bato dela Rosa appeared in the Senate for the first time since Duterte’s arrest. According to him, it’s his first time to return to Manila. He was invited by Sen. Imee Marcos to the Senate Foreign Relations committee probe on Duterte arrest.

Based on a report on Inquirer, Sen. Bato dela Rosa wants sanction on the owner of the plane that brought former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte to Netherlands. He also expressed his belief that it is the moral obligation of the Senate panel to submit their findings to U.S. Pres. Donald Trump.

Dela Rosa stressed that U.S. Pres. Trump had a clear mandate with regards to ICC interference on their allied countries. He believes that there is a huge chance that whoever owns the aircraft Gulfstream G550 may also have properties in the United States.
“Dahil very clear yan sa executive order na inissue ni President Trump na mananagot kung sino mang mag facilitate ng mga interference ng ICC to their allied countries,” he said.

Based on the report, Sen. Bato dela Rosa insisted his claim that Malacañang allegedly cooperated with the International Criminal Court. According to him, no matter how the Palace will deny it, former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte being in The Hague now shows the alleged coordination between the Palace and the ICC.
Previously, Malacañang defended Pres. Bongbong Marcos from betrayal accusations. According to the Palace, the government only did its job and acted on its commitment with the Interpol.
