LTO Imposes 90-Day Suspension on Licenses of SUV Driver & Motorcycle Rider in Antipolo Road Rage
LTO has imposed a 90-day suspension on the licenses of an SUV driver and a motorcycle rider involved in Antipolo road rage.
The Land Transportation Office imposed the measure while authorities conduct a thorough investigation into the altercation, which resulted into a shooting. Both vehicles have been flagged for monitoring.
The agency’s Intelligence and Investigation Division is working to discover the sequence of events leading to the altercation and determine appropriate penalties for those involved.

LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza II expressed concern over the increasing number of road rage incidents. He emphasized the importance of patience and responsible driving, reminding motorists that reckless behavior on the road can have devastating consequences.
Mendoza urged drivers to remain calm in stressful situations, as road rage has already led to countless tragedies.
The incident took place on Marcos Highway on a Sunday afternoon. Initially, four people were injured, including the shooter’s partner. The primary suspect, a 28-year-old businessman named Ken, was arrested.

On Monday (March 31, 2025), authorities confirmed that one of the injured riders had passed away while receiving medical treatment.
The suspect now faces serious charges, including murder and multiple counts of frustrated murder. He claimed he was driving fast to keep up with a convoy and denied tailgating the motorcycle riders. He insisted that the riders were the ones provoking him, leading to the confrontation.
However, the video shows his SUV suddenly moving from the right side of the road, nearly hitting one of the motorcycles. Witnesses also stated that his reckless driving forced the riders to chase him down.
The suspect defended his actions, claiming he retrieved his gun only because he believed one of the riders was about to pull a firearm on him. He stated that he reacted in self-defense when the rider approached him aggressively.
