Vico Sotto showed proof contradicting the claim of Sarah Discaya
Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto responded to the post of his opponent, Sarah Discaya, who claimed that the local government unit changed their venue for their kick-off campaign event.
Mayor Vico is seeking reelection in the upcoming 2025 elections in May. He has been receiving praise from his constituents regarding his governance in one of the progressive cities in Metro Manila.
However, just like anyone in politics, he also faces criticism just as happened when he was accused of corruption last year.

Mayor Vico Sotto is also known for answering directly to the issues about him and his governance. In a recent Facebook post, his opponent for the mayoral position shared that the Pasig LGU chose the venue for their kick-off campaign.
Sarah Discaya said that they chose to cancel the event because it would cause heavy traffic that would greatly affect commuters.

“Minarapat namin na humanap na muna ng ibang lugar para sa aming mga supporters. Hindi po namin nanaisin na maging abala at perwisyo para sa mga Pasigueño, dahil ang Team Kaya This ay narito para tumulong at magbigay ng solusyon sa iba’t-ibang problema sa ating mahal na siyudad ng Pasig,” the mayoral candidate said.

In the comment section of her post, Mayor Vico straightly answered the issue. “Oh come on. CHOICE NIYO pong lumipat sa Caruncho Ave,” the incumbent mayor said.
Then, the mayor asked his opponent if they were forced to go to another location, then why did they have an application letter for the Caruncho Westbound location? The son of Coney Reyes and Vic Sotto stressed that this was also what was stated in Discaya’s camp’s barangay permit in San Nicolas and that they also submitted a proposed traffic plan.

“Kung magkukuwento na lang din kayo, ikuwento po ninyo nang BUO. Dishonesty eh. Nasa MyDay/story ng page ko ang mga RESIBO,” he said. Mayor Vico shared photos of the documents he was referring to in his comment to Sarah Discaya.
