The statement of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte earned a reaction from Malacañang. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Palace press officer Atty. Claire Castro expressed confusion on where the Vice President got the comparison between former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte and the late former Sen. Ninoy Aquino as well as the alleged threats on her father’s life.

Malacañang said.

Based on the report, Castro further stressed that former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte has never compared himself to the late Ninoy Aquino but to Nazi Germany dictator Adolf Hitler. According to her, it is way too far to compare Duterte with Aquino saying the latter was not accused of crimes against humanity.
