BLACKPINK’s LISA Opens Up About Terrifying Stalker Encounters

BLACKPINK’s LISA Reveals Chilling Encounters W/ Stalkers

BLACKPINK – Lisa of megastar girl group Blackpink bravely opened up about her terrifying encounters with stalkers, revealing the distressing challenges she has faced due to unwanted attention.

K-pop sensation Lisa recently opened up about her frightening encounters with stalkers in an interview on the podcast Woody FM with Thai entertainer Woody Milintachinda. The BLACKPINK star candidly shared her struggles with anxiety, revealing that her experiences with obsessive fans, known as sasaengs, have left her feeling vulnerable and unsafe.

A sasaeng is a South Korean term for overly obsessive fans who go to extreme lengths to invade the privacy of celebrities, often engaging in stalking behaviors. Lisa recounted her first encounter with such a fan shortly after arriving in South Korea.

“[…] When I got home, I saw them waiting. So I told that person, ‘I’m really not comfortable with this. If you want to see me, let’s meet somewhere public. Showing up at my house like this? I feel uncomfortable,’” she shared.

The experience left Lisa deeply unsettled. “After I checked my CCTV, I was scared to go outside. And that’s when I really started to worry because I was completely alone. I was scared. There was no one with me,” she admitted.

Lisa also recounted another disturbing encounter when a fan attempted to enter the same taxi she was in by sticking their leg between the door to prevent it from closing. She refrained from revealing too many details but emphasized how terrified she was. “It was something I never experienced before, and I didn’t know what to do. I really had no idea how to react, and I was scared. Scared because that person was way too close,” she explained.

The idol also disclosed that she had asked her female manager to stay with her due to the stress and anxiety caused by these incidents, which also occurred at her home in Los Angeles.

“It was terrifying for a 20-year-old girl who lived alone,” Lisa said.

Despite these unsettling experiences, Lisa admitted that she has yet to find a solution. “I haven’t found a smooth solution. I’m still stressing about this. What should I really do? I’m starting to worry about myself. I’m starting to be more concerned…” she confessed.
