PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that three weather systems will bring rain over parts of the country.
On Friday (February 21, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Three weather systems will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Grace Castañeda reported that Shear Line will be affecting Southern Luzon and the Visayas, the Northeast Monsoon will be affecting the rest of Luzon, while the easterlies will bring isolated rain showers over part of Mindanao.

The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over Visayas, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Zamboanga Peninsula, Quezon, and Davao Oriental.

The easterlies will bring similar weather conditions over Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.
The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains over Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of CALABARZON, and Aurora.
Amihan will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the rest of Luzon.
Similar weather conditions are expected over the remaining parts of Mindanao due to the easterlies.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the rest of Luzon, and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will be moderate to rough coastal waters. Slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions are expected over the remaining parts of the country, according to PAGASA.
