Marilaque ‘Superman’ Rider Responds to Public Criticism

Marilaque ‘Superman’ Rider Breaks Silence Amid Criticism

Rider who performed a ‘Superman’ stunt on Marilaque shares a message to the public amid negative comments.

Previously, a motorcycle rider identified as Recs Akmad went viral online after performing a dangerous stunt dubbed as “Superman” on Marilaque Highway in Rizal. In the act, he lay flat on his motorcycle while speeding, mimicking the superhero’s flying pose.

During the incident, another rider, motovlogger John Louie “Motopush” Arguelles, also attempted the stunt alongside Akmad. However, Akmad’s maneuver caused a collision, pushing Arguelles off balance.

The crash sent them both into a road barrier and struck a group of tourists resting nearby. Despite efforts to save him, Arguelles sadly passed away due to his injuries.

Akmad’s response to the public outrage has only fueled more disappointment. Instead of expressing remorse, he shrugged off the criticism, saying it brought him more views on social media.

“Thank you sa mga basher, dumami views ko, Ubusin nyo na lahat ng pang bash nyo wala naman kayong ambag sa buhay ko hindi nyo naman alam ang tunay na nang yare kaya ubusin niyo na pang bash niyo,” Akmad said.

He also dismissed the negative comments, stating that people didn’t know the full story behind the viral video.

The death of Arguelles has left the motorcycle community in mourning. Known for his daring content, he had built a following online through videos showcasing his riding skills.

The Superman pose on a motorcycle is a high-risk stunt that puts the rider and others in considerable peril. When a cyclist sits flat on their bike, they lose control of the handlebars, brakes, and throttle, making it difficult to respond fast in an emergency.
