PAGASA Says 3 Weather Systems to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that cloudy to rainy weather will prevail over parts of the country.
On Thursday (January 23, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Three weather systems will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Chenel Dominguez reported that shear line, amihan, and easterlies will cause cloudy skies and rains in several areas.

“Wala tayong minomonitor na anumang bagyo o low-pressure area sa loob at labas ng ating Philippine Area of Responsibility, pero currently meron tayong tatlo weather systems na nakakaapekto dito sa ating bansa,” Dominguez said.
The shear line will bring overcast skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over the Bicol Region, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Aklan, Capiz, and Northern Samar.
The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains in Cagayan Valley and Aurora.

It will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
The easterlies will bring overcast skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in Soccsksargen, Davao Region, Eastern Samar, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.
Slightly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are expected over the remaining parts of the country due to the easterlies.
The weather agency advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition throughout the country will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA. No gale warning was raised over any seaboard of the country.
