Dog Rescued After Being Trapped Between Walls While Hiding From Firecrackers
A dog was rescued in Payatas, Quezon City after it got trapped between two walls while hiding from the loud sound of fireworks during the New Year celebration.
Recently, the Facebook page Aspin Puspin Balay Talatapan shared photos of a poor dog that was trapped between two walls while trying to escape the loud noise of fireworks. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
The dog, who was being cared for by its owners, managed to slip out of its enclosure without anyone noticing. As fireworks exploded around the neighborhood to welcome the New Year, the dog panicked and ran in search of a place to hide.
In its fear, it squeezed into a narrow space between two concrete walls. Unfortunately, the gap was too tight, and the dog could not move or free itself.
Later, the dog was found stuck, crying in distress, and already soaked from the rain. Concerned residents and animal welfare advocates immediately sought help. The incident brought attention to the urgent need for rescue.
At around 9:00 in the evening, a rescue operation began. Members of the Special Rescue Force QC Hercules East worked together with personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection of the Quezon City Fire District.
With patience and care, they carefully planned how to free the dog without causing further harm. After nearly an hour of effort, the team successfully rescued the dog at around 9:49 in the evening.
The dog was checked and found to be safe after the ordeal. The owners expressed their deep gratitude to everyone who responded quickly, as well as to the animal welfare group that helped raise awareness.
