Original Pilipino Music (OPM) artists Rico Blanco and BINI Maloi Ricalde were spotted together in La Union. A screenshot of them from a clip where they were recorded crossing the street immediately spread like wildfire online and became a trending topic on different social media platforms.
BINI Maloi and Rico in one frame got a lot of people gushing with some assuming that there’s something going on between them romantically.
As much as we all know, Maloi is one of the members of BINI, the Nation’s Girl Group. The group is being managed by ABS-CBN’s Star Music and in 2024, they took down the Araneta Coliseum with their sold-out concert.
Recently, after the screenshot went viral, Maloi spoke and replied to the post of a news website. She quipped, “WHAT?! STOP SPREADING FAKE NEWS.”
With such a remark, it was a clear indication that she disputed the rumors circulating about her and the male singer-songwriter. She called out the news website to stop spreading fake news.
The post had the caption, “What’s the real score between Rico and Maloi? A video of them crossing a La Union street is trending on different social media sites, fueling romance rumors between the OPM artists.”
Meanwhile, the fans of BINI Maloi slammed the headline of the article which seems to imply something malicious. The fans wanted the news website to apologize to the artist because of the way they reported that sparked dating rumors.
Behind the photo, they were with other artists like Ben&Ben member Agnes Reoma, Zild Benitez, and Blaster Silonga. They also have respective groups which suggests that they are not together in La Union.
