Dennis Trillo Says He Will Never Disrespect ABS-CBN

Months after the viral comment, Dennis Trillo makes this statement.

Kapuso actor Dennis Trillo reiterates that he will never disrespect ABS-CBN months after the ‘May ABS pa ba?’ issue.

ABS-CBN Drama King Dennis Trillo had gone through a controversy months before because of a comment a TikTok account named after him made about ABS-CBN. It was during the time when people were asking if his wife Jennylyn Mercado had stayed in GMA or transferred to ABS-CBN.

“May ABS pa ba?” the comment said which did not sit well with a lot of people online. The comment was made by his TikTok account and it turned out that someone accordingly hacked his account that time and made the comment.

He came clean and denied making such a comment. Now, months following the controversy, he was asked about the same matter during his interview with Bianca Gonzalez in The B Side for Cinema One.

In the interview, he clarified once again that he could never do such disrespect to the network where he started. He has a big respect for the company which remains standing strong despite losing a franchise. Also, he is never the type to cause conflict and cannot stand it if there are people feeling bad because of him.

He said, “And never akong sasagot sa ganon sa napaka-innocent lang na question. Ako yung tao na hindi nagbu-burn ng bridges para mag-comment lang ng ganon.”

To recall, Trillo was part of Star Circle Batch 10, and among his batchmates were Bea Alonzo, Nadine Samonte, Andi Manzano, Karel Marquez, Alfred Vargas, and TJ Trinidad. While under ABS-CBN, he starred in Tabing Ilog (1999- 2000), Pangako Sa ‘Yo (2000), and Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan (2001).

In 2013, he left ABS-CBN and transferred to GMA which remains his network up until now.
