Netizens speculated that this post shared by comedian-director John Lapus was about King of Talk Boy Abunda.
John is known for his humor and comedic stints in movies and sitcoms. However, he is also known on social media for expressing his thoughts when it comes to social issues and matters in the world of politics. He would even call out some politicians in his social media posts.
Based on the article from Balita, in a recent post he shared on X, formerly Twitter, John shared an intriguing post that garnered guesses from netizens that it was about Tito Boy.
“Ay nag comment! Linis ha. Baka ilabas ko ang mga Globe Tracker pics & vids. [zany face emoji],” John Lapus write in his tweet.
The comedian-director did not mention any name in his post but netizens were quick to speculate that he was talking about Boy Abunda. A netizen shared a screenshot of an X feed showing that below John’s post was a post from GMA Integrated News about Boy’s reaction to Kapamilya actress Maris Racal’s statement amid her cheating issue with her loveteam partner Anthony Jennings.
The veteran TV host, through his Fast Talk with Boy Abunda show, questioned the consistency in Maris’s statement and the screenshot showing her intimate conversations with Anthony. Tito Boy could not reconcile the actress’s statement that she knew that Anthony was single but in her message, she was telling the actor to delete their conversation.

Although there were a lot who agreed with the talk show host, there were also a lot who criticized him for what he said. Some netizens speculated that John’s recent tweet was also against what Tito Boy said about Maris.
Another netizen showed a screenshot of an article from PEP with the title, “John Lapus falsely suspected Boy Abunda of having an affair with his ex.”
The 2007 article stated that John gave a cellular phone to his boyfriend Jasper that had a tracker that would identify his location. John explained that his boyfriend was denying his whereabouts and just told him that he was busy.
When the comedian-director checked the tracker, he was surprised that his ex-boyfriend visited high-end locations. Then, he confronted Jasper and the latter revealed that he met Boy Abunda to ask him to manage him to fulfill his dream as an actor.
John said that Jasper asked him not to tell Boy about their relationship because the latter might not want to be his manager. As of this writing, John Lapus and Boy Abunda haven’t spoken yet about this matter.
