John Lapus has this reaction to the recent statement of Rodante Marcoleta
Actor-director John Lapus called Representative Rodante Marcoleta “Demonyo!” because of his statement about the ABS-CBN franchise.
Marcoleta is one of the senatorial candidate of UniTeam led by former Senator Bongbong Marcos and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte. During a recent campaign event in Carmen, Davao del Norte, the lawmaker said that he was able to shut down ABS-CBN.
To recall, Marcoleta was one of the lawmakers who voted against the renewal of ABS-CBN’s franchise. He said that back then, he was not afraid to go against a giant media company and he will do the same now. “Hindi tayo natakot… Ngayon pa ba ko matatakot, kasama ko na si Bongbong Marcos?” the senatorial aspirant said, based on the report from One News PH.
John Lapus, who has done a lot of shows on the Kapamilya network reacted to this statement of Rep. Marcoleta. The actor-director has been vocal in showing his support for ABS-CBN and this election, he is one of the celebrity supporters of Vice President Leni Robredo.
When John retweeted the news about Marcolet’s statement, he wrote a one-word caption and it is “Demonyo!”
Many Twitter followers of John also slammed the lawmaker. There were also those who said that some Kapamilya stars are nonchalant about this issue and still supporting those who backed the shutting down of ABS-CBN.
Previously, Marcoleta was also slammed by Kapamilya supporters because his political advertisement was aired on ABS-CBN’s digital platforms. The lawmaker explained that he has no control over the decision of their ad agency. He added that he does not decide on the matters regarding his political advertisements.
