PAGASA Says Amihan and ITCZ to Affect PH Weather on Tuesday (November 26, 2024)
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that the northeast monsoon and ITCZ will bring scattered rains over parts of the country.
On Tuesday (November 26, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon and the Intertropical Convergence Zone will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio reported that northeast monsoon or amihan will be affecting Northern Luzon while the ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over Mindanao.

The ITCZ will bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Mindanao. It may cause flash floods or landslides in the affected areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
“Today, the winds are relatively strong due to the northeast monsoon. Cloudy skies with rains are expected over the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and the province of Aurora,” Aurelio said.
Amihan will bring similar weather conditions over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora.

“The intertropical convergence zone will continue to affect a huge part of Mindanao. The entire Mindanao region will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms,” he explained.
The northeast monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains in Ilocos region.
The localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather conditions over Metro Manila and the rest of the country. Flash floods or landslides are expected during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
PAGASA did not raise a gale warning in any parts of the country.
