Gas Stations to Implement Oil Price Hike on Tuesday (November 26, 2024)
Various gasoline stations in the country are set to impose a big-time oil price hike will take effect this week.
On Monday (November 25, 2024), several oil companies have announced a price increase for gasoline, diesel, and kerosene starting Tuesday (November 26, 2024). The hike comes after the price cut last week.
Gasoline will go up by P1.15 per liter, diesel by P1.10, and kerosene by P0.80. Most companies like Shell, Seaoil, PetroGazz, and Caltex will apply the new prices at 6 a.m. Cleanfuel, however, will raise their prices at 4:01 p.m. that same day.
The looming oil price hike comes after a small price drop just last week. Gasoline went down by P0.85 per liter, diesel by P0.75, and kerosene by P0.90. But now, due to global factors like rising geopolitical tensions, especially in Russia, and issues with oil production in Norway, prices are climbing again.
This hike adds to the already huge increases. Gasoline prices have gone up by P10.15 per liter, and diesel by P9.40 per liter since the start of the year. Kerosene, however, has seen a slight decrease of P1.40 per liter.
Other gasoline stations are expected to follow the lead of Shell, Seaoil, PetroGazz, and Caltex and raise their prices as well. Filipino motorists should prepare for higher fuel prices when they fill up while fuel price hike will take right before the end of the month.
Make sure to plan ahead and adjust your budget accordingly.
