Class Suspensions for Tuesday (November 12, 2024) Due to Typhoon Nika
WALANG PASOK – Various local government units declares class suspensions due to the effects of Typhoon Nika.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration reported that Typhoon Nika was last spotted 1,170 kilometers east of southeastern Luzon. It has maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 90 kph.
Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 is in effect over Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and Abra. Heavy rains are forecasted in Ilocos Norte and Cagayan, while moderate to heavy rainfall may affect parts of the Cordillera, Isabela, and Batanes.
Due to Typhoon Nika’s strong winds and heavy rains, several local government units have suspended classes on Tuesday, to ensure the safety of students and families.
The affected areas, spanning various regions in Luzon, include suspensions at different school levels, with some provinces closing schools entirely. Below is a breakdown of the areas with class suspensions.

- Cagayan Valley (Region II)
- Isabela:
- Ilagan City: All levels, public and private
- San Mateo: All levels, public and private
- Central Luzon (Region III)
- Aurora:
- Casiguran: All levels, public and private
- Pampanga:
- Mabalacat City: All levels, public and private
- Masantol: All levels, public and private
- Tarlac:
- San Jose: All levels, public and private
- Bamban, Capas, Concepcion, La Paz, Paniqui, San Manuel, Santa Ignacia, Tarlac City, Victoria: Pre-school to senior high school, public and private
- Calabarzon
- Quezon:
- General Nakar: Pre-school to senior high school, public and private
