BPI MOBILE APP – The Bank of the Philippine Islands is currently working on its mobile app but there are ways for clients to access their accounts.
In the Philippines, millions of Filipinos are clients of the Bank of the Philippine Islands, more popularly called BPI, for decades now. It is one of the biggest and most reputable banking entities in the country.
BPI is in the service of the Filipino people since 1851. Now, there are over 1,200 branches of the reputable banking giant in the country. It also has branches abroad such as a branch in Hong Kong and two (2) branches in London.
The advancement of technology has come a long way and more and more banks are making their offers more accessible to their clients through having mobile apps and online platforms. One of these banks is the Bank of the Philippine Islands.
The Bank of the Philippine Islands offers savings and deposit accounts, credit cards, loans which include the BPI Housing Loan for Renovation, as well as money exchange services. Countless of its clients monitor their accounts like their savings online through the BPI Mobile App.
However, based on a recent report on ABS-CBN News, the BPI Mobile App is currently unavailable. Several users reported that the app shut down while they were accessing their accounts immediately after the log-in.
The Ayala-led banking entity assured that they are now working to restore the services provided by the BPI mobile app but did not give further details. Meanwhile, amid the inaccessibility of the mobile app for now, there are still ways so users can access their accounts.
Based on the report, BPI said that users can transact through the official website of the bank and through the VYBE app. If you plan to use the bank’s website to transact, log in on a safe internet browser and authenticate your account using the SMS OTP or the One-Time-Password that will be sent to your mobile number.
The BPI website allows bills payment, card control, and password reset. Based on the report, you may also do fund transfers to your own BPI account even with no SMS OTP. You may also make use of the VYBE app which can be downloaded from the Apple App Store for iOS devices or Google Play Store for Android gadgets.
