On Saturday, October 26, the winner of this year’s annual “Magpasikat” segment of It’s Showtime was announced. As announced by ABS-CBN head Cory Vidanes, the “Fourtastic Combo” composed of Kim Chiu, Ogie Alcasid, Lassy, and MC won this year.
To recall, their performance was a reminder to a lot of people who hustle to survive and to provide – “Kapag pagod ka na tigil, hinga, kalma.”
We all know how overwhelming the realities of life are from handling pressures to dealing with people’s expectations. It’s never easy and each of us struggles with this as our inner battles. However, as we fight daily to survive, we should also know that it is not all the time we are geared up to fight. As they say, a soldier must know when to surrender and as soldiers of life, we must know this.
One of the highlights of the performance was Chiu’s death-defying trapeze act as she portrayed what more she can offer after doing and showing almost everything.
Their team won Php 300,000.00 which will be donated to Angat Buhay Foundation headed by former Vice President Leni Robredo. Prior to the efforts of the organization due to Kristine PH, it’s been already their plan to give their winnings to them.
Jhong Hilario’s team with Jackie and Cianne emerged as 2nd placers while Anne Curtis’ team with Jugs and Teddy came in third.
