Katrina Halili expressed gratitude for her home network
Kapuso actress Katrina Halili is thankful for the support that she continues to receive from her home network GMA 7.
Katrina is one of the homegrown talents of GMA. She started her career in the Philippine entertainment industry through the Kapuso talent search StarStruck. Although she was not the Ultimate Female Survivor, she was still given a lot of opportunities that boosted her career.
However, Katrina went through a tough time in showbiz. It was when she was involved in a scandal. The actress was criticized for what happened but fortunately, she was able to bounce back from that dark past.
In a recent interview, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, Katrina Halili said that she is happy that despite that low moment in her life and career, she was able to stand.
“Masaya ako dahil nakatayo ako. Strong, ito, lumalaban, and wala akong [pakialam] kung ano sasabihin niyo sa akin, di ba? Parang move forward ako. Tinanggap ko yung pagkakamali ko and kinokorek ko,” the actress said.
For her, it is important that she recognized that she made a mistake and because of that, there was no resentment in her heart. After recognizing that she did wrong, she was able to forget herself.
“Basta na-recognize mo na may mali ka, wala ka ng pakialam dapat sa mga tao eh, kasi wala kang dapat i-prove sa kanila kasi lahat naman tayo nagkakamali,” she added.
Katrina Halili admitted that at that time, she felt that her career was already dead after the controversy. She did not intend to be seen onscreen after what happened, so, she asked permission from GMA to let her go.
However, her home network showed support for her. GMA did not want her to dwell on the problem and her focus should be directed to another thing. With this, the Kapuso network continued giving her projects. At that time, she was given a chance to be part of the series Rosalinda.
From that, her career flourished again and she has nothing but a grateful heart to GMA. “Thankful ako na kahit gano’n ‘yung nangyari, nagtiwala pa din kayo,” she said about her home network, adding that ever since 2009, GMA supported her.
