Grab Rider Asks for Drink After Being Denied Water at Fast-Food Chain
A Grab rider touched many hearts online after asking for a drink when he was denied water at a fast-food chain.
Recently, the Facebook account Mackey TERB shared an encounter where the rider politely asked for water after not receiving any at a fast-food restaurant. The post garnered various reactions from the netizens.
Mackey was placing an order at a fast-food chain in Tanza when a Grab rider arrived to pick up a delivery. Holding out his dry tumbler, the rider humbly asked if she have some water because they didn’t give him any at the restaurant.
The situation saddened Mackey, as the rider had been out under the sweltering heat, with temperatures reaching 39°C. It was disheartening to realize that, despite the intense weather, the rider was not even provided with a small amount of water.
A bit of water could have easily made a difference for the rider, who spends long hours on the road delivering food. It was a simple request, just enough water to fill his small container.
However, it points out the struggles that many delivery riders face while working, especially in extreme weather conditions.

Habang nag-order ako sa isang fast food sa Tanza, dumating si Kuya Grab na naghatid ng pagkain. Bigla siyang nag-abot ng kanyang tuyong inuman at nagtanong, “Ma’am, pwede po bang makahingi ng inumin? Ayaw kasi nila magbigay ng tubig.”
Nakakagulat at nakakalungkot isipin na sa kabila ng init ng panahon, na umaabot sa 39°C, hindi man lang siya nabigyan ng tubig. Kaunting tubig lang naman, na kasya sa maliit na inuman ng rider, ang kailangan niya.”
