Sandro Marcos Says VP Sara Duterte Crossed The Line
SARA DUTERTE – Ilocos Norte First District Rep. Sandro Marcos said Vice President Sara Duterte crossed the line.
Representative Sandro Marcos, son of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and grandson of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos, broke his silence yesterday regarding Vice President Sara Duterte’s recent scathing remarks about his family.
“Going ballistic was perhaps the self-therapy she prescribed for herself. But she crossed the line, leaving the civic and civil space in which disagreements can be rationally argued,” Sandro said in a statement sent to reporters covering the House of Representatives.
Sandro Marcos admitted that he could no longer tolerate the attacks against his family, despite his efforts to stay silent out of respect for the Vice President and her office. “I have held my tongue out of respect for the Vice President, given the mandate she was given and the responsibility which her office holds,” Sandro explained.
However, as a son, Sandro expressed that he could not remain quiet after Duterte threatened to exhume the remains of the late President Ferdinand Marcos and harm his father, President Marcos Jr. “Her bizarre temper tantrum has been condemned by a nation horrified from such displays of insensitivity towards the dead and cruelty to the living,” he added.
Sandro emphasized that his sentiments were not just personal but shared by many across the country. “I can ascertain that my emotions are shared not only by my kakailian in the north but across the country,” he noted.

According to the report, Sandro Marcos also pointed out that his father, President Marcos Jr., had advised him to withhold his disappointment and refrain from making a statement, but he felt that the time had come to speak up. “One must draw the line… and it’s frankly long overdue,” Sandro said, stressing that the President had not responded to Duterte’s tirades with any form of rebuke.
Sandro urged people to take care of their mental health in light of Duterte’s outburst “Let this be an opportune time to remind ourselves that we mustn’t take our mental health for granted and that above all else, I sincerely hope she is OK. As such, I still wish the Vice President well,” he said, adding that he also wished her “the peace of mind and mental clarity that seems to be eluding her.”
The challenge was accepted though. Drug test for all politicians versus psychological test.
We will see this if they refused the challenge.
