Recently, Fatima Wadja Anton, a Facebook user, shared her experience after discovering that her order of spaghetti was mixed with a noodle from palabok. The post quickly circulated on social media and elicited comments online.
Anton had ordered spaghetti for her child from a branch of Jollibee in Lancaster New City. However, when the meal arrived, she found that it was not just spaghetti but a serving that had a strand of palabok mixed in.
To make matters worse, there was even pork placed on top, which is not suitable for Muslim customers like her.
Although Fatima initially chose to calmly address the issue with the staff instead of posting online, she explained how she and her family were disrespected during the process. Despite the mix-up and lack of some items, like spoons and forks, she tried to be understanding, knowing that the staff’s job can be challenging, especially with the current workload.
However, when her spaghetti order was served with palabok noodles and topped with pork, she couldn’t help but raise her concern as a Muslim. Fatima expressed that this mistake was unacceptable, as they were paying for the right order and expected a better standard of service.
