Former basketball player and actor Raul Dillo makes rounds online as he proudly sells longganisa in Cavite to support his family.
The actor shares his journey and day-to-day activities as a vendor through his Facebook page Raul and Bol. He regularly posts updates about his business flexing his longganisa with garlic flavor, a favorite among his customers.
The post immediately spread like wildfire online and garnered various reactions from the online community.
Despite his past fame as a University of the East basketball player and an actor, Raul had to leave his sports career due to an injury that slowed him down on the court. However, this setback did not stop him from finding new ways to earn a living and provide for his family.
“Matagal tagal na din akong nag titinda sa KALYE. At noon nag uumpisa palang ako subrang na hirapan din ako kasi hindi ko pa po nkasanayan pero katagalan ay nasanay na din ako. Abangan nyo po May mga video po ako. kwento ko po ang aking mga naging karanasan,” he said.
Recently, Raul was seen on television in the series “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” where he played a minor role. He revealed that actor Coco Martin personally invited him to join the show. Though he had once been a familiar face in the 1990s, especially in horror and comedy films, Raul has now taken on a different path.
Despite the challenges, Raul has embraced his new life as a street vendor. He openly shares his experiences on social media, hoping to inspire others who may be struggling.
