WALANG PASOK – Some local government units (LGUs) announced class suspensions on September 12, 2024, due to bad weather.

According to state weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Typhoon Bebinca is to enter the Philippine area of responsibility by Friday, September 13, 2014. If it enters PAR, it will be called “Ferdie”.

Once inside the country’s area of responsibility, this is the sixth tropical cyclone of the country for this year.

Meanwhile, based on the update as of this writing, Bebinca slightly weakens as it moves north-northwestward at 25 km/h. Based on all available data, the location of its center is estimated at 1,725 km East of Extreme Northern Luzon (20.6°N, 138.6°E).

It has a maximum sustained winds of 95 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 115 km/h, and central pressure of 990 hPa.

In the next 24 hours, the enhanced Southwest Monsoon is expected to bring moderate to rough seas in the next 24 hours over the eastern seaboard of Mindanao, the seaboards of Palawan, the western seaboard of Visayas, the northern seaboard of Luzon, the eastern and southern seaboards of Visayas, and the northern and western seaboards of Mindanao.
