Kaloka or Kalokalike? In recent It’s Showtime episode, Dao Ming Si brought entertainment to madlang people.
Meteor Garden’s Dao Ming Si Kalokalike graces It’s Showtime and brought laughter to the online viewers and madlang people.
The central character of the famous Taiwanese drama series Meteor Garden is Dao Ming Si played by Jerry Yan. In the series, he is the heir of a big corporation but falls in love with a commoner named Shan Cai. Their love story had various adaptations and became popular across Asia but as they say, nothing beats the original.
Of course, this is the series that introduced the F4 and the other members have also come from wealthy families. And recently, spreading nostalgia and entertainment in It’s Showtime is the Kalokalike of Dao Ming Si.
The Dao Ming Si Kalokalike from Las Pinas brought laughter to the viewers including the hosts. Amid his performance, host Vice Ganda was even heard saying funny remarks in the background.
“Ang lakas mang-trip ni Diwata,” quips the host and added, “Sa mga gustong maglipat ng channel di po namin kayo masisisi.”
Adding more fun in the segment are Shan Chai and Vanness Wu from the madlang people. It was as if a mini-reunion of the well-loved characters through the Kalokalikes has just happened on Showtime.
Meanwhile, this is the fourth season of the said Showtime segment. Previously, Carlos Yulo Kalokalike won the first episode. He is Andres Santos of Marikina City and many were impressed by their uncanny resemblance.
This segment was first introduced in 2012 and aired for three seasons until 2015. Jonahan Garcia’s Christopher de Leon, Jennifer Catuyong’s Nicki Minaj, and Daniel Aliermo’s Vice Ganda were some of the grand winners of this segment that many people loved.
