Gabbi Garcia was asked about “Ruru Madrid
Kapuso actress Gabbi Garcia reacted to being mentioned by the “Kalokalike” of Kapuso actor Ruru Madrid.
In one of the recent episodes of Kalokalike, one of the current segments of the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime, Gabbi’s name was mentioned. A contestant named Kevin who was impersonating Ruru was asked about actress Bianca Umali.
During that episode, Bianca, who is the real-life partner of Ruru, was one of the judges of the It’s Showtime segment. Kevin, acting as Ruru, mentioned that one of the celebrities he and Bianca fought about was “Gabbi.”
In a recent interview on 24 Oras Chika Minute, Gabbi Garcia was asked about this. She jokingly answered, “Alam mo, feeling ko si Gabby Concepcion talaga ‘to. Parang hindi ako ‘to.”
Kidding aside, she said that she is happy about Ruru and Bianca’s relationship. “It’s nice to see them happy din together,” she said about the couple. Gabbi is currently in a relationship with singer-actor Khalil Ramos and the actress is looking forward to having her Hawaii vacation with her boyfriend.
Ruru and Gabbi will have their onscreen reunion through the Kapuso fantasy series Encantadia. They will reprise their roles as Ybrahim Ibarro ans Alena. There were loveteam partners years ago. In an interview back in 2017, Gabbi expressed surprised when their loveteam was suddenly dissolved.
“Naglolokohan nga kami na after eight years, isipin mo, naging Alena at Ybrahim Ibarro ulit siya at ako. Nakaka-throwback lang, nakakatuwa,” the actress shared.
In a separate interview, Ruru Madrid said that what he and Gabbi Garcia had happened a long time ago already. He also expressed happiness for his onscreen reunion with the actress.
The actor said that he is happy for Gabbi’s relationship with Khalil. He is also happy that the actress is doing what she loves to do.
