Camp of Apollo Quiboloy Speaks on Arrest of Pastor

APOLLO QUIBOLOY – The camp of the Pastor wants to appeal the transfer of his custody or a house arrest citing his age.

Kingdom of Jesus Christ founder and leader Pastor Quiboloy was arrested by the PNP (Philippine National Police). His arrest came after more than two (2) weeks of intensified search operations at the KOJC compound in Davao City.

The PNP authorities even drilled inside the KOJC compound in the belief that the Pastor may be hidining in a bunker. They reportedly drilled near the Jose Maria College building which caused worries to the members of the KOJC.

Attorney Israelito Torreon, the lawyer of Pastor Quiboloy and spokesperson of KOJC, said that their architects and engineers are worrying that the alleged drilling at the JMC may affect the stability of the building.

Vice President Sara Duterte expressed her belief that Pastor Apollo Quiboloy is no longer in Davao City. It is no secret to the public that the Dutertes are close to the Pastor. According to the Vice President, there was enough time that the Pastor must have thought and left the city.

After more than 2 weeks of intensified operations to arrest Pastor Quiboloy inside the KOJC compound, the Pastor is now in the hands of the Philippine authorities. However, Quiboloy’s blurred mugshots earned different reactions from the netizens.

Former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte filed charges against the PNP officials and Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benhur Abalos over the operations at the KOJC compound.

Recently, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy’s camp expressed that their next move is to file a motion. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Atty. Israelito Torreon said that they will file a motion for the transfer of his custody to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). They stressed security as one of the reasons behind their desire for the transfer of the Pastor’s custody.

“At the very least, a house arrest knowing that he is already 74 years old,” the lawyer said.

Currently, Quiboloy is under the custody of the Philippine National Police. Previously, an amount was up for reward for information that could lead to the arrest of the Pastor. Recently, the DILG spoke on what will happen to the reward money for Apollo Quiboloy‘s whereabouts.
