It’s been roughly four years since we saw Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto together on the big screen. For their reunion film titled “Un/happy For You”, they made record for this year for earning Php 20.5 million on its opening day.
Star Cinema and VIVA Films shared the figure just recently and so far, this is the local film with the biggest opening gross this 2024. The movie is directed by Petersen Vargas and written by Kookai Labayen, Crystal San Miguel, and Jen Chuaunsu.
The other members composing the cast of the film are Nonie Buencamino, Ketchup Eusebio, John Lapus, Kaila Estrada, Aljon Mendoza, Bong Gonzales, Ana Abad Santos, and Meann Espinosa.
“Un/happy For You” is now showing in 250 cinemas nationwide.
With the first-day success of JoshLia’s reunion film, actor Gerald Anderson reacted to this. As much as we all know, the actor is Barretto’s long-time boyfriend. In an Instagram story, Anderson wrote a sweet note for her congratulating the fruit of her labor for this project.
“Congratulations. You worked so hard and deserve everything. I’ll always be a fan,” he said.

As much as we all know, apart from being a love team before, the two celebrities also dated in real life. The two dated from 2017 to 2019.
