A tricycle driver has expressed his frustration after receiving P45 from two passengers for a five-kilometer trip.
On August 10, 2024, Dhy Rhan Noel Ed, a Facebook user, took to social media to voice his frustration after receiving only 45 pesos from two passengers for a trip from Market City to Baras-Baras Gate 2.
Ed was disappointed because the amount paid was far less than the expected fare for the distance traveled.
Ed shared his concern online, asking where he could file a complaint and seek a resolution for such issues. According to the Tarlac City Fare Matrix Guidelines, the fare for this route should be approximately P85.00 for two passengers.
The huge difference between the fare Ed received and the standard fare led him to seek advice and support from the community.
Many netizens expressed their sympathy for Ed, agreeing that he was not paid fairly for his service. They highlighted that the low payment was especially troubling given the rising cost of fuel, which makes it difficult for drivers to cover their expenses.
