Carlos Yulo Expresses Gratitude to Girlfriend Chloe San Jose for Mental Health Support
CARLOS YULO – Double gold gymnast Carlos Yulo expresses gratitude to Chloe San Jose, his girlfriend, for her support in his mental health.
In an interview with ’24 Oras,’ Carlos Yulo expressed his deep gratitude for meeting Chloe San Jose. Carlos brought immense pride to the Philippines this August by securing two gold medals in the men’s floor exercise and vault events at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
His victory was undoubtedly the result of relentless training and unwavering dedication to improving as an athlete. However, Carlos attributes a significant part of his success to another crucial factor—his relationship with Chloe Anjeleigh San Jose, which played a pivotal role in his journey to becoming a gold medalist.
Speaking with Mel Tiangco on 24 Oras last Thursday, August 8, Carlos Yulo acknowledged the positive impact Chloe has had on his mental health and overall well-being during his preparation for the Olympics.
“Naalagaan po ‘yung mental health ko and well-being ko po [at] mas nakilala ko po ‘yung sarili ko personally, at through ups and downs po, nandoon po talaga si Chloe,” Carlos shared on Thursday.
The journey was not without its challenges, but Carlos proudly stated that he and Chloe persevered through their shared Olympic aspirations.
“May times po na nahirapan po kami, [pero I’m] really grateful na hindi niya (Chloe) ako sinukuan [at] hindi kami sumuko sa pangarap naming dalawa,” Carlos said.
Overwhelmed by Chloe’s unwavering support and love, Carlos couldn’t help but express his deep appreciation for having her in his life.
“Sobrang thankful po ako sa kaniya [at] sobrang thankful po ako kay God na pinakilala ako [kay Chloe]. Grabe po ‘yung suporta na natanggap ko, ‘yung tiwala, and ‘yung pagmamahal [mula kay Chloe],” Carlos said.
