In a post, actress-host Toni Gonzaga penned a sweet message for Mariel Padilla, her dear friend who just turned a year older.
A birthday is not just a reminder that someone has turned a year older. It is also a reminder that another year has been survived and is ready for the next one. It also meant that a year added to your strength and a year of lesson molded you to be the person you are now.
Recently, one of the people celebrating her birthday was Mariel Padilla. She was greeted by her friends and her family and among these people is her dear friend Toni Gonzaga.
The vlogger-host is now a year older and in an Instagram post, Toni expressed her love for her showing how much they’ve been through as the strongest foundation of their friendship.
Gonzaga recalled in her post that they met when they were both just 19 years old and all the ups and downs of their friendship. From the time they joined Pinoy Big Brother to their “brokenhearted era” when she gave her the book titled “He’s Not Just That Into You”.
Just like the other friendships, Mariel and Toni also had a falling out. They were open about this phase in their lives and they were thankful that they got through it. They have reconciled with a better relationship.
Things in their lives changed and they got married. From getting pregnant at the same time to their eldest children being classmates, she could go on listing down how their lives are intertwined but those she mentioned are clear representations of their significant roles in each other’s lives.
“I can go on and on about what our friendship went through. I’m grateful for everything… I’m grateful I have a friend like you in this life,” she wrote.
