Jodi Sta Maria shared something about this aspect of her life
Kapamilya actress Jodi Sta Maria talked about finalizing her annulment from her ex-husband Pampi Lacson.
Jodi and Pampi tied the knot 13 years ago. Although they have been separated many years ago, they remained friends. The former couple has been commended for having a good relationship despite what happened to their marriage.
Jodi’s son Thirdy is close to Iwa Moto who is now the partner of Pampi. There were times when they would spend time together, especially during special occasions.
Jodi Sta Maria shared that the annulment case was first filed a decade ago. Finally, it was granted. In a recent interview, based on the article in ABS-CBN Entertainment, opened up about this.
“Parang even if na napakaayos ng relationship namin ni Pampi, importante pa rin siya na parang legally, kumbaga, matapos,” the actress said.
When it was finally granted, Jodi shared that the first person she called was Pampi. She told her ex-husband congratulations to them. The actress also said that even the people who saw their journey were happy for them because they knew how she prayed for them.
“At matagal ha. Hindi biro. 13 years,” she added. Even though it was a long process, Jodi shared the importance of maintaining a good relationship. She said that there is respect and love in their blended family.
Jodi also shared that they told their son Thirdy that there are now more people loving him. She added that she does not want her son to view this as the right thing or an ideal setup but she does not want him also to think that having a blended family is something bad.
“Lalo na sa kultura natin na napaka-conservative. Parang may mga tumataas ang kilay pa rin at hindi pa rin sila boto sa gano’ng klase ng setup. But at the end of the day, it’s really to each his own. It’s working for us,” she said.
