A snakebite refers to the injury caused by the bite of a snake. When a snake bites a person or an animal, it injects venom or poison through its fangs into the victim’s body. The severity of a snakebite depends on various factors such as the species of the snake, the amount of venom injected, and the location of the bite.
Venomous snakebites can be life-threatening and require prompt medical attention, including the administration of anti-venom to counteract the effects of the venom.
Casualties often require immediate medical treatment, including anti-venom therapy, to counteract the effects of the snake’s venom and prevent further complications. Quick medical attention is important in saving lives and reducing the risk of permanent damage or death from a snakebite.
