Lineman in Davao del Norte Got Electrocuted After Power Supply Suddenly Restored Amid Repair of Electrical Pole

A lineman was electrocuted while repairing a damaged post after the power supply was suddenly restored.

Electrocution refers to injury or death caused by electric shock, typically resulting from contact with an electrical source. The term is derived from “electric” and “execution,” originally implying a fatal incident, but it is also used to describe non-fatal electrical injuries.

Electrocution can cause various harmful effects, including burns, cardiac arrest, and damage to internal organs and tissues. The severity of electrocution depends on factors such as the voltage, duration of contact, and path of the electric current through the body.
