Bea Alonzo & Vhong Navarro Team Up for New Film To Be Directed by Erik Matti
Vhong Navarro is set to work with Kapamilya-turned-Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo in a movie that will be directed by Erik Matti.
It’s been years since Vhong last starred in a movie. His films were among those that rose to massive popularity and gathered the crowd in cinemas. Among his previous movies were Mang Kepweng, Woke Up Like This, My Only U, D’ Anothers, Mr. Suave, and Agent X44.
Vhong also starred the hit film Gagamboy which was directed by Erik Matti. It was released in 2004. It’s been two (2) decades since the Showtime host worked with hit filmmaker Erik Matti.
Meanwhile, Vhong Navarro is set to work with Direk Erik Matti again. This time, he will team up with Kapamilya-turned-Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo in their new project. Based on the post of the Showtime host, they recently met along with veteran actors Joel Torre and Joey Marquez.
On Instagram, Vhong expressed his excitement to be directed again by filmmaker Erik Matti since Gagamboy. He also expressed his gratitude to the director for the trust.
On his Instagram account, direk Erik Matti also shared a photo of him with Vhong Navarro, Bea Alonzo, Joel Torre, and Joey Marquez. In his caption, he stated that they met, talked, and made a fun catching up session.
Vhong remains a Kapamilya for decades now. He is one of the mainstay hosts of the ABS-CBN noontime variety show It’s Showtime which is airing since 2009. He had his own share of huge challenges in the previous years including his legal battle with Deniece Cornejo.
Deniece and Vhong were in a legal battle for several years following a controversial incident in a condominium in 2014. The court sided Vhong Navarro in his case against Deniece Cornejo, Cedric Lee, and two others.
