Actress Ria Atayde answered a basher who had a negative comment about her late pregnancy announcement.
Ria tied the knot with her now-husband actor Zanjoe Marudo last March. They announced their engagement in February. Amid the fast-paced development in their relationship, netizens started to speculate that the actress was already pregnant.
On June 16, as the world celebrated Father’s Day, Ria posted a greeting for Zanjoe. Her Father’s Day greeting for her husband also became a pregnancy announcement.
The celebrity couple received warm support for this new chapter in their lives and expressed excitement for their first baby.

This was shared on a popular showbiz site and netizens pointed out that it was Ria’s sister Gela Atayde who explicitly denied it. To recall, Gela Atayde was asked in an interview if her older sister was expecting her first baby with Zanjoe Marudo, she said that with Ria’s condition, it would not be easy for her to get pregnant.
“For me I can’t say much yet. For now, no. They’re trying that’s for sure. My sister has PCOS and it would be a miracle if she has a child,” Gela said last March.
