GAWAD URIAN WINNERS – Here are the winners for this year’s Urian as announced by the Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino (MPP). This year’s Best Actress is Charlie Dizon for Third World Romance while the Best Actor is Romnick Sarmenta for About Us But Not About Us. The awarding ceremony was held at the Henry Sy Sr. Hall of De La Salle University.

GAWAD URIAN 2024 – Artists Charlie Dizon and Romnick Sarmenta lead the winners as the Best Actress and Best Actor, respectively.
The 47th Gawad Urian Awards honored the films, actors, and production staff alike on Saturday, June 8. The Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino (MPP) announced the winners during this event which was held at the De La Salle University.
Director Dwein Baltazar’s “Third World Romance” bagged four awards such as Best Music, Best Production Design, Best Director, and Best Actress for Charlie Dizon. The Best Actor awardee, on the other hand, is Romnick Sarmenta for his role in “About Us but Not About Us”.
Last month, the list of nominees for the 47th Gawad Urian awards was released. Among the actresses vying for the Best Actress award were Kathryn Bernardo, Gabby Padilla, and Maxine Eigenmann.
As for the Best Actor category, the other nominees are Paolo O’Hara, Euwenn Mikaell, Cedrick Juan, Jansen Magpusao, and Carlo Aquino.

Gawad Urian Awards was established in 1976 and is a “symbol of recognition of this ability, but above all, a symbol of appreciation of the creators’ role toward their medium and toward their audience”.
