Is Xian Lim open to working with Kim Chiu again?
Actor-director Xian Lim has this to say about working again with Kim Chiu months after announcing their split.
After almost 12 years of being together, the reel and real-life love team we love separated and it broke many hearts. In December 2023, Kim Chiu confirmed the split with Xian Lim citing that it was made out of a mutual understanding. After months of speculations, the split was finally confirmed.
Months after announcing their split, Kim was asked about working with Xian again and she expressed her openness to it. She said that he can even appear in It’s Showtime where she is one of the mainstay hosts.
Kim said, “Okay lang naman [na makatrabaho ko siya]. Mag-guest siya sa ‘Showtime.’ Or mag-prod siya. Hindi naman kami magkaaway.”
Recently, a similar question was asked to Xian and he echoed just the same response. He also sees no problem with working again with his ex-girlfriend. According to him, they ended things on good terms and though there’s pain, if the opportunity shows itself to them, he quipped, “Why not?”
When their split was confirmed, what bothered him was not the bashing for him but the bashers getting his family involved. The bashers were messaging his mother and grandma and for his family to be dragged into his issues is something he would never allow.
He added based on the interview, “I’m saying this with all respect, I would like to keep my personal life, especially sa love… You know, private. Because it’s just so hard. For 11, 12 years, that was an open book.”
This time around, he would want his life private following his highly-publicized previous relationship.
Meanwhile, in a previous article, Kim spoke following Xian’s statements. She hopes for the past to be left in the past. She started 2024 with literally a fresh start and she doesn’t want to dwell on the past.
