ANDREA BRILLANTES – The ABS-CBN actress has this to say about love and the realization she learned in this aspect of her life.
The past relationship of actress Andrea Brillantes was a highly-publicized one. Her previous boyfriend was basketball player Ricci Rivero and their split was also a highly-publicized one and it looked like it was also a bad one.
Last January, there’s no bad blood between Ricci and Andrea as per the basketball player’s claim. He added that he was only a bit loud during the height of their breakup because of the intolerable negative comments against his family and current girlfriend.
Month after this, the actress was asked again about being single and according to her, she got no problems with it as her priority for now is herself and her career. Despite this firm stance, she is not shutting doors if love knocks again.
“Kasi ang love, ang kaisa-isang emosyon na kahit perfect ka na siguro, kapag tinamaan ka ng pag-ibig, puwede kang manghina,” she said.
As young as 7 years old, she claimed that the painful reality of love was bared to her and that was when her parents separated. She was taught that not all love will have its own happy ending. Some could end up breaking up but it’s for the better. She didn’t realize this before but when she fell in love, she finally understood.
To recall, Ricci’s current girlfriend, Leren Bautista, was accused as the third party that cause their split. In October 2023, Ricci confirmed the relationship with Leren. It was criticized as it happened shortly after the announcement of his split with Brillantes.
However. Ricci and Leren have made it clear already that there was no third party and there never an overlapping that happened.
