JULIA BARRETTO AND JOSHUA GARCIA – These two stars are reuniting for a film and this will be the release date of their upcoming project.
It is official – former love team Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto are reunited for a film called “Un/Happy For You”. The last film they did was “Block Z” in 2020 and this upcoming project is their “unexpected comeback”.
In a previous article, Joshua and Julia talked about working with each other again. According to them, the familiarity was there but there are these changes that made them foreign working with each other. However, despite this, the chemistry remained.
“Parang siyang familiar and new place at the same time. Parang this feels familiar pero parang bagong rin because parang we’re getting to know each other (again),” says the actress.
Recently, ABS-CBN’s Star Cinema announced the released date of their reunion film. Based on the post, their upcoming film will be released on August 14. This was announced by Star Cinema and Viva Films at the Cine Expo of Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines.
“Un/happy For You” is to be directed by Petersen Vargas and written by Kookai Labayen, Crystal San Miguel, and Jen Chuaunsu. The actress previously shared that people can expect “pain and healing” in their new film. Having been able to feel pain in real life, the actor added that portraying it in this new film would be an easy thing.
To recall, Garcia and Barretto also worked together in “Vince and Kath and James” in 2016, “Love You to the Stars and Back” in 2017, “I Love You, Hater” in 2018, and “Block Z” in 2020. “Ngayon at Kailanman” was a TV series they did in 2018.
