Tito Mars Defends His Eating Challenge Content After Receiving Hate Comments
TITO MARS – The controversial content creator has defended his eating challenge content, saying, “Hindi ko ho nilalait ‘yong pagkain ng mga mahihirap”.
Over the past few weeks, Tito Mars has become one of the most controversial personalities due to his controversial eating challenge content, particularly his apparent distaste for sardines and shrimp paste.
Many netizens lambasted the personality for allegedly being disrespectful towards budget-friendly meals.
Recently, the vlogger broke his silence about his eating challenge contents and clarified that he does not intend to disrespect the food of the less fortunate, emphasizing that he considers himself part of that demographic as well.
The public figure revealed that he was also poor and he had no reason to insult the food of the less fortunate.
“Kasi ho ang pagkakaintindi nila, ay binabastos ko ho ‘yong pagkain ng mga mahihirap. Unang-una ho, hindi ho ako mayaman. Mahirap lang din ho ako. So bakit ko kailangang bastusin ‘yong pagkain ng mga mahihirap?” he said.
The latter stressed that if he were to disrespect the food of the less fortunate, he would be the first one affected. He reminded netizens not to watch his videos if they don’t appreciate the content he shares.
“Ulitin ko ho, hindi ko ho nilalait ‘yong pagkain ng mga mahihirap. Kung sa tingin n’yo ho, gano’n n’yo ho na-perceive, gano’n n’yo ho naintindihan ‘yong mga videos na ginagawa ko, nirerespeto ko ho ‘yan. Kasi, meron ho kayong kalayaan, choice n’yo ho ‘yan… kung ayaw n’yo ho, huwag n’yong panoorin,” the vlogger said.
Meanwhile, Kapuso comedy star Pokwang reacted to content creators who produce videos about sardines and other Filipino foods commonly consumed by the masses, particularly the less fortunate.
