SARA DUTERTE – Vice-President Sara Duterte expressed her appreciation to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. for maintaining his confidence in her role as the secretary of education.
In a previous article, a lawmaker urged Sara Duterte to show some decency and resign from DepEd but PBBM said that Inday would stay as DepEd chief. On Wednesday, Sara conveyed her appreciation to PBBM for maintaining his confidence in her role as the secretary of education.
“Maraming salamat, Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., sa patuloy na pagtitiwala sa akin bilang Kalihim ng Kagawaran ng Edukasyon,” Duterte said in a message shared on her official Facebook page.

Duterte further stated that the Department of Education, along with its staff, will persist in serving the needs and safeguarding the future of students.
“Makakaasa po kayo na ang DepEd, na binubuo ng ating mga guro at non-teaching personnel, ay patuloy na maglilingkod nang tapat para sa kinabukasan ng bawat mag-aaral,” she added.
Bongbong Marcos confirmed on Tuesday that Sara Duterte will continue in her role as the head of education, emphasizing that his professional collaboration with her remains unchanged despite recent remarks by First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos in a controversial interview expressing dissatisfaction with Duterte.
In a video shared on her official Facebook page on Monday, Duterte clarified that the first lady’s personal sentiments do not impact her responsibilities as a public servant. She also mentioned plans for a private discussion with President Marcos Jr. regarding future actions.
