Pokwang Reaction To Deportation Of Her Ex-Partner Lee O’Brian

Here’s the reaction of Pokwang to Lee’s deportation.

Famous actress-comedienne Pokwang has this statement about the deportation of Lee O’Brian from the Philippines, her ex-partner.

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has got Pokwang’s ex-partner Lee O’Brian deported on Monday, April 8. This is based on their press release issued on April 11, Thursday.

“BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco said that O’Brian was deported evening of April 8 on board a Philippine Airlines flight to San Francisco after the BI confirmed that he has no pending local case in the Philippines,” the BI wrote in its statement.

This is an indication that the famous comedienne won in her complaint against her former partner. To recall, in a previous article, Pokie requested child support from Lee. In an interview with Boy Abunda, she gave her reaction and expressed that this is just the right thing for both of them.

According to her, his deportation will enable him to finally be able to provide for their daughter since he cannot do it if he is in the Philippines. The chapter of her life with Lee already ended but when it comes to his rights as a father to their daughter, it will not be taken away from him.

“Pero when it comes to karapatan niya kay Malia, hindi ko naman yon ipagdadamot. Basta ayusin lang niya ang buhay niya. Anuman ang mangyari, tatay pa rin siya ni Malia. Hindi ko aalisin yon,” she said.

She would even let him visit Malia and would even let Malia visit him in the US. She added, “Kung gusto niya [Lee] na dalawin siya ni Malia sa Amerika, okay, go. Ihahatid ko pa, basta ibabalik niya sa akin.”

At the end of it, what she just wants if for the peace of mind of both sides. She wants him to do well for their daughter and for himself since he’s already 49 years old. Staying in the Philippines will also do no good to him as he is not allowed to work here.

Meanwhile, Lee’s deportation is a development a year after the actress-comedienne filed a petition. The petition cited that he was working in the film, television, and theatrical industry without a special working permit. Pokie filed the petition as well for her rights, and her child’s rights, for her fellow women, and for her country.
