Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu is silent after actress-singer Janella Salvador received backlash after declining to her request.
“Medyo paos ako today, kayo na lang. Next time, promise.” – These were the words of Janella Salvador when she was asked to do a “sampol” of her newest single. She refused to give in to the request as she was not feeling well.
However, based on a previous article, Janella’s response became an issue. This was also the same response that rendered the hosts fell silent and Kim’s reply to this was, “Ah, pakinggan na lang namin [yung song].”
After reading the negative comments, the actress did not back down especially to the comments that kept on involving her son Jude who has nothing to do with what happened. On April 5, 2024, Friday, Janella took to X (formerly Twitter) her explanation and firm stand.
She explained that the last thing she would ever want is to appear rude and disrespectful but she has no hold of what people would think. The actress expressed that she has “personally apologized for unintentionally offending someone but not for setting a valid boundary”.
Salvador also added, “Don’t you dare try and involve my son. The way most of y’all are boomers too. Embarrassing.”
Amid the loud buzz this created online, people online wondered why the It’s Showtime host remained silent. In the new video of Ogie Diaz, they discussed this topic and showed the comments of the netizens looking for the host’s clarification.
Diaz is well aware of how netizens react online and he believes that no matter what she does, people will always have something to say. He concluded in his video, “At the end of the day, kung wala namang intensyong masama si Kim Chiu sa kanyang hini-hirit kay Janella at si Janella ay wala din namang intensyong masama sa kanyang naging sagot, sino yung mga netizens para sila ang mas maapektuhan?”
