Viral Pageant Stars Turn Underwear Into Aid for Mindanao Earthquake Victims
EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS – Netizens were stunned when two male models revealed they were selling personal items to raise funds for earthquake victims.
Two popular male models have personally appealed to the public for help following the powerful earthquake that recently struck several parts of Mindanao. Kenneth Marcelino and Kenneth Cabungcal, both known as male pageant contestants and fashion models, have launched an unusual fundraising effort by putting their underwear up for sale to support families affected by the disaster.
Marcelino was the first runner-up in Mister Cosmopolitan 2025, while Cabungcal placed fourth runner-up in Mister Supranational 2025. The two are also widely recognized online as part of the viral duo known as “KenxKen” or “The Kens.”
In a Facebook post, Kenneth Marcelino shared the heartbreaking situation faced by his family in General Santos City after the earthquake.
“Isang malungkot na araw po para po sa aming pamilyang nabiktima ng Lindol noong nakaraang araw.
“Ngayon lang po kami nakakuha ng update ang pamilya namin na taga Gensan dahil po nawalan sila ng kuryente, hindi po okay ang lagay nila doon nasira po yung bahay nila dahil sa malakas na Lindol noong June 08, 2026 Lunes.
“Nais po sana namin lumapit sa inyo para sa kaunting tulong. Si Kenneth po and ako napag isipan namin na ibenta ang brief na nagamit namin sa isang video for Bench nung isang araw.
“Ang makukuha po namin na benta dito ay maidodonate po lola ko and sa family ko po from Gensan.
“Maraming Salamat po sa agad sa tulong ninyo!”
The model explained that the proceeds from the sale would be donated to his grandmother and other family members whose homes were damaged by the strong tremor.
In the comments section, Kenneth Cabungcal clarified the condition of the items being auctioned, saying, “Both briefs are for one-time use only and will be freshly laundered before they reach the winning bidder.”
Cabungcal also shared Marcelino’s post on his own Facebook account to help expand the fundraising campaign. In the caption, he wrote:
“Brief for a Cause. A strong earthquake recently struck Mindanao, affecting many families, including Kenneth’s grandmother, whose home was severely damaged.
“Today, we’re turning this brief into something more meaningful. Every bid will help her rebuild her home and recover from this difficult time.
“Bidding starts now. Name your price.”
The fundraising effort quickly drew attention online, with many netizens expressing support for the initiative. The two models previously went viral on social media after their runway appearance during the Bench Fashion Summer Week 2026 held on April 19 at SPACE in One Ayala, Makati City, further boosting public interest in their charitable campaign.
