Mark Herras was asked this question about his career
Kapuso actor Mark Herras admitted that he is not happy with the current status of his career.
Mark rose to fame after winning Starstruck’s first season as the Male Ultimate Survivor, the counterpart of Jennylyn Mercado as the first Female Ultimate Survivor. From his stint in the Kapuso talent search, Mark was given opportunities to be in different TV shows and movies. He and Jennylyn became loveteam partners for quite a while.
However, these past few years, project offers have become scarce. It was rumored back in 2021 that the actor was going through a financial problem. Rumors surfaced that his cash advance in GMA reached half a million pesos. His former manager Lolit Solis also claimed that he owed her P30,000.
In a recent interview on talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz’s YouTube channel, based on the article in Inquirer, Mark Herras was asked if he is happy with his career right now.
“Itong nangyayari sakin ngayon? Syempre hindi,” the actor admitted. He said that he does not want to talk about his past decision that led to where his career at the moment. The actor said that he is basing this on the question of whether this could be the only opportunity that should be given to him or if this is just what he can do.
‘Yun na lang ba ‘yung worth ko bilang artista? Kasi kung ito na lang may ibang options. I’ll try my luck sa kung ano mang klaseng trabaho sa industriya,” he explained.
On the other hand, he does not want to blame the state of his career now on what has already happened.
Mark Herras said that he hoped everything would be okay soon but he remains thankful to his home network for still giving him projects. He added that he never demanded when it comes to the roles given to him. His greatest fear at the moment is not being able to provide for his family.
Mark got married to Nicole Donesa in 2021 and they now have a child.
