Class Suspensions for Tuesday (April 2, 2024) Due to Hot Weather

WALANG PASOK – Various local government units announced class suspensions in several areas due to hot weather conditions.

Over the past few days, the Philippines has been experiencing hot and humid weather conditions due to the effects of El Niño. The scorching temperature causes disruption and distraction to the learning of students.

On Tuesday (April 2, 2024), several local government units and schools declared the cancellation of classes due to the scorching weather. The Department of Education reported that several schools in the country shifted to an alternative delivery mode of learning

Class Suspensions

The decision was made to ensure the safety of both students and school personnel.

Students may find it difficult to focus on their schoolwork due to discomfort brought on by high temperatures. Students may experience exhaustion and laziness as a result, which may lower their energy levels and make it harder for them to engage fully in class activities.

Extended periods of exposure to hot weather can increase the risk of developing heat-related disorders such as heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
