PAGASA Says Easterlies Will Bring Isolated Rains Over Parts of the Country

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that easterlies will bring isolated rains over parts of the country.

On Saturday (March 30, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies will affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA weather specialist Daniel James Villamil reported that easterlies will be affecting the eastern section of the country. It will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon.

“Patuloy pa rin ang epekto ng easterlies dito sa silangang bahagi ng ating bansa. For the next 24 hours magpapatuloy itong mainit at maalinsangang panahon sa Metro Manila at malaking bahagi ng ating kapuluan,” Villamil said.

The Easterlies/Localized Thunderstorms will bring similar weather conditions over Visayas, Palawan, including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience the same weather.

The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon will be slight to moderate. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to the weather bureau.

PAGASA did not raise a gale warning in any parts of the country.

“Wala pa ring nakataas na gale warning sa baybayin ng ating kapuluan, banayad hanggang sa katamtamang pag-alon ang ating inaasahan sa malaking bahagi ng ating bansa kaya malayang makakapalaot ang ating mga kababayang mangingisda,” he added.
