After a month-long engagement, celebrities Zanjoe Marudo and Ria Atayde finally tied the knot! The got married in an intimate civil wedding held on the bride’s 32nd birthday last March 23.
Zanjoe and Ria’s wedding was held at the Quezon City Hall in a ceremony officiated by Mayor Joy Belmonte.
The actor made the announcement on Instagram, Monday. He posted some of the snaps taken from their wedding with the date of their wedding held last Saturday, March 23, 2024. In his post, he made the announcement by greeting his wife a happy birthday.
In the comments, they were showered with congratulations from their celebrity friends, including Kaye Abad, Kyline Alcantara, Vina Morales, Jake Ejercito, and many more.
In the event, the bride was stunning wearing an ivory-hued silk gown made by Martin Bautista. It features a puffy off-shoulder sleeves and a flattering sweetheart neckline. The groom, on the other hand, was wearing a classic black tuxedo.
To recall, Ria and Zanjoe confirmed their relationship in January last year and announced their engagement last month. She is the younger sister of actor and Quezon City 1st District Representative Arjo Atayde who is married to Kapuso host Maine Mendoza.
The newly-married couple have known each other since working together on the ABS-CBN drama My Dear Heart in 2017. They became good friends and the rumors about their relationship started in 2022.
Speaking about their relationship, the actress said, “I am very happy right now. I am in a relationship where I feel valued and where there’s so much mutual respect, mutual admiration. Very much, I’d say.”
